Prayer of Anguish for Unsaved Loved Ones
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father,
It saddens me and my heart is anguished to see the ones closest to me that haven’t accepted You to be the Lord of their life, nor turned away from the things of this world. Lord, You declare, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19, NKJV) How much longer must I wait for the same love You showered upon me to save my loved ones from condemnation? I am afraid that I will never see my mom, dad, and my sister again. You rescued me from distress and spiritual bondage, so why not my family?
I ask You, O Lord, that you continue to restore my strength and rely on Your constant love. Through Your mercies we are not consumed, because Your compassion fails not. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion and therefore I will place my hope in You. (Lamentations 3:22-24)
Lord, pour out Your unfailing love and mercy into my heart. I will sing to you, O Lord, because You are so good to me. Draw me closer to You, Father, when I am in despair and brokenhearted. Rescue those whose spirits are crushed.
I pray this in Your Son’s name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
